The taxe d'habitation is to be paid by the tenant, it is aprox 810 € p.a.
£120 week = £520 per month, tax d'habitation = 68 € /month. Total approx 811 € per calendar month depending on exchange rates. The rental can be fixed in sterling or Euros. The calendar month figure is for indication only; the rental is paid every four weeks as the house used to be rented as a gite.The general running costs of the house are quite low for a house of this size, due to its high level of insulation and a south facing patio that has the sun all year round, unlike a lot of other gites that have been renovated for summer use & can be very expensive or even impossible to heat in the winter.To give you a guide price, for the year starting 16 Sept 2005, the annual bills for electricity, gas and water were:

To reserve the accommodation, a deposit of 6 weeks rental is required.
